Pret A Manger, represented by international real estate advisor Savills, has acquired a retail unit in the Centre Point development.

Pret A Manger has agreed to a new 15-year lease for the 2,712 sq ft (252m2) ground floor unit. The chain currently has 328 shops throughout the UK, including 30 which opened in 2016, and plans to open around 30 more this year.

Located close to Soho, Fitzrovia, Bloomsbury, Covent Garden and the future Crossrail Tottenham Court Road station, the redeveloped Centre Point will feature 48,000 sq ft (4,459m2) of retail space, 82 apartments and a new public square. It is due for completion late 2017.

Lance Marton, director in the Central London retail team at Savills, added: “We are pleased to have secured this opportunity for Pret within the iconic Centre Point, as part of its ambitious growth plans.”

Almacantar was represented by Bruce Gillingham Pollard.
