The London Help to Buy scheme means purchasers can buy with a deposit from as little as 5% and with an equity loan of 40% from the government, leaving them to secure a mortgage of just 55% of the property value.

Purchasers should act quickly, as all applications under the current scheme must be submitted before 31st December 2020, in order to meet the deadline of 31st March 2021 when the scheme closes. Following this, the scheme will be re-launching for first-time buyers only.
