Peabody has acquired a new site with planning on Frankham Street in Deptford SE8 to create 209 new homes.

Kate Beesley, Senior Development Manager for Peabody said: “Frankham Street was purchased from the London Borough of Lewisham alongside its neighbouring site at Amersham Vale and will see an inclusion of 76% affordable homes for the local community. It is a great example of applying Peabody’s commitment to quality placemaking with a large public realm designed in collaboration with the local community and incorporates a plethora of play space and resident courtyards with kitchen gardens. It will see the full retention of both old Victorian School buildings with its charm and character whilst utilising all roof space to power the scheme using a combination of Solar PV and central boilers”

Phil Church, Head of New Business for Peabody commented: “Frankham Street is a great example of Peabody, working in partnership with London Borough of Lewisham, to fully engage with the local community and deliver much needed, and greatly enhanced, levels of affordable homes. The work that has been done to enhance the public square will be a great asset to the local community in Deptford.”
