Hammersmith & Fulham Council's plans to build 133 new affordable homes in Fulham have been approved following a Government challenge.

The former Edith Summerskill House site is to be redeveloped on the Clem Attlee estate where new homes will be offered first to people living on the estate and then to Fulham residents.

106 will be homes for local people on the council’s waiting lists to rent at a low at the council level. The other 27 homes will be for affordable intermediate rent.

H&F Leader Cllr Stephen Cowan commented: “We have consulted extensively and will now crack on and build the much-needed new homes for our residents."

The planning application ref.no 2020/01283/FUL was originally submitted on 22.05.2020. The plans were ‘called in’ by the Government in June 2021.
