The City of London Corporation has appointed Levy Real Estate as Leadenhall Market's sole retail agent.

The firm will advise on all new lettings, restructuring of leases and strategic direction across the 40 shops and restaurants in the 100,000 sq ft Grade II Listed market, which is owned by the City Corporation.

The current occupiers of the market include Reiss, Hobbs, Viandas, Aux Merveilleux de Fred and an impressive line-up of independent businesses.

Chair of the City Corporation’s Property Investment Board, Andrien Meyers, commented: “Leadenhall Market is home to a distinctive selection of boutiques, shops, restaurants and bars. It also has a fantastic events programme throughout the year and is welcoming more and more people back in line with the City’s strong recovery.

“In appointing Levy Real Estate, the City Corporation aims to develop the diverse mix of businesses that keep Leadenhall Market buzzing and ensure it remains a destination of choice for shopping, eating and socialising.

“Outstanding retail and hospitality experiences are key to our vision for Destination City, drawing workers and visitors back into the Square Mile.”

Greg Stalcup, Partner at Levy Real Estate, added: “We are working closely with the City Corporation to build upon the impressive mix of existing tenants and boost trade in Leadenhall Market throughout the week.

“We have already worked together to restructure leases at Leadenhall Market to turnover arrangements, helping traders navigate the impact of the pandemic.

“With a vibrant atmosphere and the option of a free outdoor seating license outside the premises to boost turnover, Leadenhall Market is an attractive location for hospitality businesses, as well as retail tenants.”
