Arbuthnot Latham & Co., Limited, represented by Savills and Cortex Partners, has agreed to acquire the freehold interest of 7-21 Wilson Street, London EC2 from a private investment company for £15.7 million.

The building will be the head office for the Arbuthnot Banking Group PLC and the principal location for Arbuthnot Latham & Co., Limited and the London offices of Secure Trust Bank PLC.

7-21 Wilson Street is a 38,000 sq ft office building that was originally let to Simmons & Simmons under a lease which is due to expire in December 2013 at a rental of £1,650,000 per annum.

The buyer intends to refurbish and fit out the space after the lease expires. Arbuthnot Latham's current lease expires in 2015, and the firm plans to relocate to Wilson Street at that time.
