Developer Comer Homes has secured a pair of important development sites on Dunstable Road, Luton LU1.

The sites comprise a 0.575-acre plot at 13-31 Dunstable Road, which has planning approval for 214 residential units, and the nearby office building, Trend House.

Comer Homes is now reviewing the full potential of the sites before resubmitting a detailed planning application to deliver a landmark residential development that will benefit and enhance the local area. 

Comer Homes recently acquired a 1.05-acre site on Latimer Road, with plans to deliver a high-quality residential scheme comprising 238 apartments.

Luton is in the middle of a substantial regeneration, with key projects and development sites contributing to a £4.5 billion investment target for the town. The key projects include the extension of London Luton Airport, the completion of a high-speed transit system linking the airport with Luton Airport Parkway station, the construction of a 1 million sq ft shopping centre and multiple high-quality mixed-use developments to provide much-needed accommodation and employment opportunities. 

Comer Homes is currently building 18 landmark sites located across London and the South of England and is set to deliver 14,250 units, with an estimated GDV of c.£8 billion.

The new projects will add to the 4,850 units currently completed by the developer, which has delivered a total Gross Development Value (GDV) of £1.2 billion.
