Great Portland Estates has announced the signing of a contract with its long-time partner Lendlease to build 2 Aldermanbury Square.

Sustainability is the key focus of the project, with plans to reduce carbon emissions by 36% from the original design and repurpose steel from the existing building for future developments.

A circular approach is taken in the building process for 2 Aldermanbury Square, which means reusing parts of the existing basement, repurposing steel from the existing building for future developments, and incorporating sustainable materials throughout the construction.

The development is due to complete in December 2025.
