Construction start

Collins Construction is on site for Berkeley Estate Asset Management's £10m flagship net zero carbon workspace refurbishment and fit-out.

Under its One Team Approach, Collins will oversee a combination of light structural modifications and ultra-premium fit-out at the newly christened Twenty Berkeley Square, designed by Barr Gazetas, encompassing 22,000 sq ft of premium office and restaurant space. The project is scheduled for completion by Q4 2023, featuring a rooftop extension that boasts panoramic views of the esteemed Berkeley Square.

Collins will collaborate with the design team to restore and repair original features such as the terrazzo staircase and façade, while also replacing 130 sash windows to reflect the 1930s era of the building's initial design.

Following its successful delivery of numerous upscale Mayfair projects for the same client, including 14-16 and 19 Bruton Place, Collins' appointment at Twenty Berkeley Square highlights its proficiency in restoring buildings to exceptional standards.

Ryan Cleanthi, Divisional Director, Collins Construction, commented: “Our One Team approach to refurbishment and fit out ensures the level of care and attention to detail expected by BEAM and the type of occupiers on and around Berkeley Square. Collins has established an honest, collaborative, and creative relationship with BEAM over a number of successful projects, and we look forward to furthering that track record at TWENTY Berkeley Square.”

Sam Harper, Development and Investment Associate, Berkeley Estate Asset Management, added: “Each desk at TWENTY Berkeley Square will enjoy a direct view out over the best square in London. The scheme Barr Gazetas has designed, and that Collins are now delivering, will match this outlook pound-for-pound in terms of the quality of materials and craftsmanship, to create a truly special place to work."
