Birmingham City Council has approved plans for the Build to Rent development at 2 Snowhill Plaza in central Birmingham.

The development by HUB Group and MARK will create 462 high-quality BTR residences, including affordable housing options and three-bedroom family homes.

Designed by Metropolitan Workshop, the innovative residential scheme will replace an empty commercial property, embodying a world-class design while preserving the unique local character of Snow Hill.

With its 48 floors, 2 Snowhill Plaza will stand as one of Birmingham's tallest buildings, joining the growing cluster of high-rise structures in the city centre.

The development will not only deliver exceptional housing but also enhance the public spaces surrounding it. By improving pedestrian connectivity, specifically, the public access way connecting Snow Hill Queensway and Weaman Street, the project will contribute to the creation of sustainable, walkable neighbourhoods in a significant regeneration area of Birmingham.

The development will prioritise biodiversity and accessibility for all, strengthening its relationship with the community. Over 600m2 of enhanced public open space will be created, featuring abundant greenery, seating areas, and bicycle storage facilities.
