Weston Homes launch new 'Ways to Buy' campaign

Weston Homes has launched a new 'Ways to Buy' campaign at Abbey Quay in Barking, aimed at assisting young individuals in purchasing their first home.


For those who reserve a new apartment at Abbey Quay by October 31st, 2023, Weston Homes is providing the unique opportunity for buyers to create their own incentive valued at up to £20,000 as part of their 'Ways to Buy' campaign, which seeks to educate buyers on the various methods available to get onto the property ladder.


The £350 million, 6-acre riverside urban village at Abbey Quay offers 1,089 new apartments, all with private balconies or terraces. It will also feature commercial and leisure spaces, including a restaurant, shops, gym, and community hub. The development is complemented by pedestrian promenades, public artwork, and landscaping.


Weston Homes 'Ways to Buy' schemes include:


First-time SecureBuy (FTSB)


The FTSB scheme allows first-time buyers to reserve a home off-plan for just a £500 reservation fee, and only requires a 5% exchange deposit and then, six months before build completion, the buyer can apply for a mortgage.


Should the value of the property increase in the time between reservation and build completion, buyers will only pay the price agreed on the day they reserve their property.


To apply for a mortgage on a newly built home, the property needs to be within six months of build completion. Weston Homes normally launches newbuild developments 12-24 months before build completion allowing first-time buyers to make the most of off-plan prices.


This gives buyers extra time to save and be ready to move into their new home, giving them peace of mind.


Discount Market Sale (DMS)


In partnership with the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, this offers a 20% discount on selected one- and two-bedroom apartments for local residents or workers.


Deposit Unlock


Developed by the Home Builders Federation, it allows buyers to reserve a home with a 5% deposit.


Unique £20,000 Incentive


As part of the 'Ways to Buy' campaign, those who reserve an apartment by October 31st, 2023, can receive up to £20,000 to assist with various aspects of home buying, such as interior design packages and household bills contributions.
