International House will soon be redeveloped. Here is some information from the website of the development:

We will shortly be submitting a planning application to Westminster City Council that will include:

- The residential conversion of the existing building to provide 52 apartments

- The replacement of the building’s façade to produce a design more in keeping with the character and quality of its setting

- Proposed improvements to the public realm, including enhancing the landscaping at the base of the building, creation of active retail frontages at the corner of Paddington Street and Chiltern Street and the creation of a townhouse on Chiltern Street to heal the exposed flank wall with St Andrews Mansions

- The building will be designed to meet, and exceed where possible, the current requirements for sustainable design and construction

- The development will deliver a sustainable low energy design and will be designed to fully comply with the latest accessibility standards.

These proposals have been the subject of discussions with planning officers at Westminster, Councillor Harvey Marshall, the Marylebone Association and the St Marylebone Society.
