Jardine Lloyd Thompson ("JLT"), the international group of risk specialists and employee benefits consultants, today announces that it will be moving its global headquarters and London based business operations to The St Botolph Building, EC3.

JLT has exchanged contracts with Minerva on a 25 year lease for a total of 287,000 sq ft of space on the third to ninth floors.

A phased move of all JLT's London-based employees from current premises on Crutched Friars, America Square, Fenchurch Street and Seething Lane to the new premises will start in July 2013, overseen by Mike Methley, COO, JLT.

Dominic Burke, CEO, JLT, commented:

"This is an exciting new stage in JLT's development that reflects the rapid growth of our business over the last few years and fully meets our evolving needs as we embark on the next phase of our growth.

"Crucially, the move will mean that, for the first time, all our c.1800 London-based colleagues will be able to operate from a single location, supported by state of the art facilities. This major investment will facilitate ever greater levels of collaboration across our business, further reinforcing our One JLT culture and enabling us to serve clients even more effectively."

Tim Garnham, joint chief executive, Minerva, added:

"JLT represents a landmark tenant for this prime building and we are extremely pleased that they have chosen The St Botolph Building as their home, taking the building to 100% occupancy."

The St Botolph Building has been developed and built by JLT's clients Minerva to a high specification. Designed by internationally renowned architects Grimshaw, it is one of the largest completed developments in the City available providing 550,000 sq ft of accommodation on floorplates of up to 40,000 sq ft.

Jones Lang LaSalle advised Minerva on the letting whilst JLT were represented by CBRE and Savills.
