Ardmore has been appointed as main contractor by Orion City Road Trustee Ltd to work with development managers Groveworld to deliver a 31 storey (96m) prime residential tower including a restaurant on the ground floor and extensive leisure facilities.


Nick Morris, Commercial Manager at Groveworld, commented “Ardmore has demonstrated a great tenacity in demonstrating how they will build on their success in the first phase of this transformational project to work alongside ourselves and Orion to deliver the highest quality product in this exciting central London location”.

The £60m contract will see Ardmore deliver 190 high-specification private residential units, in a mix of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments. These include large penthouse apartments and a club lounge with terrace on the 24th floor for use by residents. Within the basement area, there will be a residents’ swimming pool, spa, gym, and cinema.

According to Aref Lahham of Orion Capital Managers, the development will continue to breathe new life into one of London’s most stylish waterside residential quarters and that Ardmore are an excellent choice to deliver this ‘landmark’ tower for Islington and for London. The tower is designed by internationally acclaimed architects UNStudio

Work on the main tower superstructure is due to commence in April 2013 with Ardmore responsible for completing the entire project.
