The Shard has won Major Project of the Year at the Constructing Excellence National Awards 2013.
Mace's Chief Operating Officer Gareth Lewis, who recently won the gold award at the Construction Manager of the Year awards for his work on the project, commented: "this is another fantastic accolade that truly recognises what is an outstanding and iconic building, it will play a major part of the London skyline for many years to come. It is the collective effort of everyone involved that is being rewarded and it is magnificent that Construction Excellence, itself a driver of change, has acknowledged the project's contribution to the industry."
