Bouygues Development, part of the Bouygues Construction group, and Londonewcastle, has announced that they have completed the purchase of a 1.7 acre site for the development of a c.£65 million residential-led project currently known as Site 11B, in the London Borough of Brent.

The project, adjacent to Queen’s Park station, is a new mixed-use development comprising of 144 residential units, 28 of which are affordable units, and 480m2 of commercial floorspace. Housing association L&Q will acquire the affordable units. Planning consent was achieved in October. This site purchase paves the way for the demolition of the existing buildings in early 2014, with construction of the new scheme to start in March 2014. Construction will be carried out by Bouygues UK, a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction, and completion is due in 2016.

The development forms part of the £400m regeneration of South Kilburn, London, a project which aims to deliver 2,400 new high quality homes and turn the area into a new urban landmark, enhancing the vision set out by the London Borough of Brent.

The new homes will be up to the excellent high standard this regeneration project is now synonymous for delivering - in both quality and design.”
