Network Living and Hill's landmark canal-side development 243 Ealing Road is 40% sold, with over 130 apartments sold since the launch last December.

The success of the private sales has resulted in the phased construction schedule being brought forward by a year, to meet the demands of the diverse range of buyers.

Joint venture partners, Network Living and Hill, held a topping out ceremony last week to mark the success of the development. Helen Evans, Chief Executive Officer of Network Housing Group, the parent company to Network Living, commented: "This ambitious, place-changing, development is hopefully the first of many of its kind. These beautiful homes will make a very positive contribution to the regeneration of Alperton, assisting in making it a location of choice. Our aim is to create a successful mixed tenure community, with thought out management plans in place to ensure our community will live together and thrive."

The event was also attended by Leader of Brent Council, Councillor Muhammed Butt, and Councillor Margaret Mclennen, Lead Member for Regeneration and Housing, as well as 50 other local dignitaries and development partners.

Andy Hill, CEO of the UK's top 20 housebuilder, Hill, commented: “This development marks a sea change for Alperton, and is spearheading a wider regeneration programme which includes 1,600 new homes, new shops, schools, healthcare, green spaces and business premises over the next ten years. The levels of demand we have seen highlights how the area is already changing to become a new ‘destination’ address for buyers, not only within the Capital but from all over the world. Schemes like this are vital if we are to hit the Mayor of London’s housing targets and stem the housing shortage in London.”

243 Ealing Road comprises 441 apartments located alongside the Grand Union Canal. Network Living and Hill, will be carrying out the joint sale of 330 private residential apartments and Network Housing Group will manage 54 shared ownership properties and 57 affordable rent properties, also available on the development.

The stylish and modern apartments are presented in seven 9-14 storey sleek towers and all properties have access to a private patio, terrace or balcony. Four of the striking colourful high gloss towers overlook the Grand Union Canal and the entire development is linked by a series of eight distinct communal gardens, including an orchard, two play areas and an innovative sensory garden.

The private one, two and three bedroom apartments all benefit from a superior level of specification including underfloor heating throughout, custom designed fitted kitchens with low energy appliances and boutique bathrooms.

The development is within 200 metres of Alperton's Piccadilly Line station linking residents to the heart of London. The onsite Zipcar car club and cyclist-friendly paths are a great draw for residents. For those travelling by car, the Hanger Lane gyratory system is less than a mile away and there are also 240 underground parking spaces available to purchase.

Prices start at £248,500 for a studio. The sales suite is open daily from 10am to 5:30pm. The first homes will be completed late 2014 /early 2015. For more information, please visit www.243ealingroad.co.uk.
