Clivedale Properties have signed a £27m contract with McAleer & Rushe to build The Mansion on site of the former central London headquarters of property firm Colliers.

The Mansion is a new residential development at 9 Marylebone Lane, W1. It includes studios, 1- to 3-bedroom apartments and penthouses. Amenities include a 25-metre pool, gym, spa and treatment rooms, gardens and residents’ lounge.

The plans for 9 Marylebone Lane create a high-quality 55,400 sq ft residential building comprised of lower ground, ground, and seven upper floors, with large setbacks incorporating roof terraces, along with two basement levels.

The building will be dressed in a warm and reflective glazed terracotta external cladding with a subtle variation in colour and shade to add visual interest and complexity.

Martin Magee, Managing Director McAleer & Rushe Contracts UK, said:

“This is a great project to be associated with as it contributes so positively to its environs by enhancing the prestige of this residential neighbourhood. Our construction business has made a strong start to the year having recently secured a number of contracts across the hotel, office, student housing and residential sectors – not just in London but across the UK”.

Colliers consolidated out of the former 26,000 sq ft office building, as well as offices on Welbeck Street, in 2012, moving to a new headquarters at 50 George Street, W1 not far from McAleer & Rushe’s London office.
