Mitsui Fudosan UK Ltd (‘Mitsui Fudosan’) and development partner Stanhope plc have appointed DTZ to market Angel Court, Bank.

Angel Court is one of very few prime, City office developments currently under construction and is scheduled to complete in Q3 2016. DTZ joins existing agents GM Real Estate in marketing the 300,000 sq ft mixed-use Angel Court. The scheme, which occupies a unique core City location next to the Bank of England, is set to provide over 24 storeys of high quality office accommodation, alongside retail space, within the heart of London’s financial district. Steelwork has now commenced onsite, whilst construction of the building’s northern core, which is now visible, continues to progress swiftly.

Benefitting from excellent transport connectivity alongside 360 degree uninterrupted views of the London skyline from the building’s upper Sky floors, Angel Court is expected to generate significant occupier interest. The scheme is at the forefront of a new office accommodation trend to fully maximise potential floorplate space through a flexible and progressive layout design. The new building will provide significantly larger floorplates than those in the previous building on the site, with Garden floors offering an average floorspace of 25,000 sq ft and Sky floors an average of 9,000 sq ft of floorspace. Tim Plumbe, Senior Director, DTZ commented: “As one of the very few prime City office developments being delivered in 2016, Angel Court offers occupiers exceptional quality in a fantastic location. It is one of the market’s most significant leasing mandates this year and we are delighted to have won it.”

Hideto Yamada, Managing Director of Mitsui Fudosan (UK) Ltd, commented: “The appointment of DTZ demonstrates our appetite to further showcase this outstanding scheme and highlight the quality and flexibility of Angel Court to prospective occupiers before the scheme opens next year. As we continue to work with Stanhope to deliver this prime City development, we are confident that DTZ and GM Real Estate are excellently placed to pool their expertise and knowledge in order to generate significant occupier interest.” David Camp, Chief Executive of Stanhope plc, said: “With work at Angel Court now progressing at pace, we remain committed to delivering an exceptional scheme which will meet occupiers’ demands and revitalise the surrounding area. Our substantial experience of delivering office schemes in the City of London, in addition to our proven partnership with Mitsui Fudosan, ensures that we are confident Angel Court will set a new benchmark for high quality and efficient space in the heart of the City.” The scheme is also set to renew and connect the surrounding streetscape by significantly expanding the existing public realm area by introducing retail outlets, restaurants, eateries and al fresco dining to the piazza for the first time.
