Work is progressing at Aqua waterside development of apartments in Manor House, reports developer Fairview New Homes.
The development site, which is located between Green Lanes and the New River and West Reservoir, was formerly home to offices. The site was earmarked for residential development by Hackney Council in its Manor House Area Action Plan in 2013.
Fairview began work on-site at Aqua earlier this year and construction is progressing well. Aqua will comprise a selection of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments which are being built within 2 buildings – Spring House and Lake House.
One of the local authority’s key aims for development on the site was to create a new pedestrian link between Green Lanes and the New River Walk, which will be created within Aqua.

As part of the Section 106 planning agreement for Aqua, Fairview will contribute £112,576 towards the New River path, £10,623 for community facilities and £125,000 for public realm improvements.
In total, Fairview will make contributions of more than £750,000 to the local community as part of the development of Aqua.
These contributions will comprise payments under the Section 106 agreement totalling £636,399 and a further £113,699 Community Infrastructure Levy payment, which will fund local infrastructure to support the development.
There’s 3 apartments currently available at Aqua – 1-bedroom Granville apartments, priced from £395,000, and a 3-bedroom Beverley apartment, priced at £620,000.
