Demolition works at 19-27 Young Street are due to finish towards the end of August and enabling works are due to commence on site, reports developer Grainger.
The main contractor will be retaining the site hoarding and carrying out other site
establishment activities following clearance of the site by John F Hunt and prior to
commencing enabling works.
Following this, the team will begin working on the foundations during October
with the basement and ground floor slab formed by May 2016.
A crane will also be installed on the site in November 2015 and remain in use
throughout the build. To facilitate the installation, a temporary 12 hour road
closure similar to the one in April for the demolition phase, will be required.
Brickwork will be completed towards the end of 2016 and it is anticipated that all
construction work will be completed by Autumn 2017.
