The first residents at Aqua are set to move into their homes imminently, with the entire development set to be fully occupied by July 2016.

Jim Holliday, Sales and Marketing Director for Fairview, said: “Construction began at Aqua at the start of the year and it has been exciting to see the two apartment buildings starting to take shape in recent months.

“We are now at the stage where all of the apartments have been sold and we are about to welcome our first residents to their new homes.

“Aqua is bringing quality residential development to a site earmarked for that purpose, while also bringing community contributions of more than £750,000 to the local area.

“We look forward to seeing building work reach completion next summer.”

Fairview will contribute £636,399 to the local area as part of the Section 106 planning agreement for Aqua, while a further £113,699 Community Infrastructure Levy payment will also be made by the developer.

Under the Section 106 agreement, Fairview will contribute £164,564 towards education and libraries, £108,150 for healthcare, £53,412 for highways, and £10,623 for community facilities.

A total of £125,000 will be spent on public realm improvements and £112,576 will go towards the New River path, while a £38,000 contribution will be made to Transport for London.
