Aware Super is a leading Australian industry super fund with A$150 billion FUM and over 1 million members. The fund takes an active management approach to invest responsibly across real assets, including infrastructure, real estate, and private equity, as well as liquid markets. They are also the largest build-to-rent investor in Australia and have invested in residential properties across Australia, Europe, and the US. Aware Super is the only industry super fund with over 100 qualified financial planners who offer fee-for-service comprehensive financial advice and a range of personalized help, financial education, and general advice services. In 1992, Aware Super was established as First State Super, aimed at providing superannuation benefits to New South Wales government employees. The fund was made available to anyone eligible for superannuation benefits when it became a public offer fund on 1 May 2006. The merger of First State Super and VicSuper on 1 July 2020 led to the formation of Aware Super. On 3 December 2020, the fund expanded further when WA Super merged with Aware Super.
