Financial Times

The Financial Times (FT), a leading British international daily newspaper, was founded in 1888 as the London Financial Guide by journalist and Liberal politician Horatio Bottomley. Renamed the Financial Times on February 13th, 1888, it quickly gained prominence for its comprehensive coverage of financial markets, independent editorial stance, and international focus. Bottomley's controversial nature led him to sell the newspaper to a group of City of London financiers in 1893. Throughout the 20th century, the FT expanded its scope, including a weekly edition for the US in the 1950s and launching new services like a financial newswire and a business school in the 1970s. In the 21st century, the FT has continued to evolve, with a global readership, print, online, and mobile app availability, and as a provider of financial data and analysis. Renowned for its in-depth analysis of international finance, business, and politics, the FT has secured numerous awards, including 18 Pulitzer Prizes, and stands as one of the world's leading business publications. The UK property ads can be found primarily in the FT Weekend, a supplement that is published on Saturdays and Sundays (launched in 1969).
