Comer Homes marks 45th anniversary with the delivery of over 4,000 new homes

One of the UK's leading developers Comer Homes is entering a significant year coinciding with its 45th anniversary.

In this pivotal year, about 1,000 units will be reaching completion, 4,500 units advancing through the planning phase, and over 12,000 homes are prepared for zoning. The Gross Development Value of Comer Homes’ current pipeline is estimated to be around £4.8 billion. Upon completion, these developments are expected to have a significant impact on addressing the current housing crisis in the UK.

One key project involves the sensitive restoration and conversion of the former All Saints Pastoral Centre & Chapel in Hertfordshire AL2. This former Anglican convent, set on 58 acres of mature parkland, will be carefully restored and refurbished into a collection of new homes, with the addition of new-build blocks designed to respect and enhance the historical character of the site.

Royal Brunswick Park in New Souhtgate N11, is awaiting final approval to construct over 2,400 new apartments and houses on a 45-acre site. This development promises to be one of London’s largest mixed-use developments, featuring a new secondary school, gymnasium, sports facilities, and multiple large public parks.

Set to open in 2024, the Newland Park resort in Chalfont St Giles HP8, which will become one of the finest in the provider’s portfolio, will include a 5-star spa, with a heated pool, sauna and steam rooms, relaxation rooms and terraces, treatment rooms, yoga studios and a dedicated restaurant. Open to residents and the local community there will also be a gymnasium and multiple indoor and outdoor sports courts with an inflatable dome.

Projects set to progress in 2023 include Harefield Grove in Harefiel, Middlesex, which involves the conversion of a dilapidated Grade II Listed mansion house into luxury residences, two new developments in Luton (13-31 Dunstable Road), and a site in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Comer Homes is also planning a significant project at Vicarage Farm in Enfield, with over 12,000 individual units planned, which will be their largest project to date.

Brian Comer, Co-Founder and Chairman, commented: “2022 was a fantastic year for Comer Homes, which saw us launch our flagship development Newland Park, whilst also progressing other exciting projects that we’re excited to move forward this year. In our 45-year history we have built a strong reputation for delivering high-profile and often historically sensitive schemes that are important landmarks and the developments we have in the pipeline mirror that, so we can’t wait to see them come to fruition.”
