2019 February - Westminster Council decides to grant conditional planning permission for:
Demolition of the existing building and redevelopment to provide a new building comprising three basement levels, lower ground floor, ground floor level and first to ninth-floor levels consisting of hotel (Class C1) with publicly accessible restaurant/bar (Class A3/A4) at ground floor, bar and roof terrace at ninth floor, function/events space at basement
levels 2 and 3; and roof level swimming pool, roof level plant and associated works. Application no 18/09467/FULL submitted in November 2018. Architect EPR Architects.

2017 - Planning permission granted for a new building designed by Eric Parry Architects comprising ground floor, nine stories above, and two basement levels for a hotel with 206 guest rooms on 8 floors. Two publicly accessible levels including reception foyer, a restaurant and cafe on the ground floor; and a spa and guest business facilities at basement 01. Westminster Council ref. no. 17/01930/FUL. The hotel would be operated by Shiva Hotels.
