Conington Road is a planned redevelopment of the former Tesco Car Park Site in Lewisham Town Centre, London SE13.
Meyer Homes is building 365 new homes (20% affordable) alongside workspace and commercial units within three new buildings, including the tallest building within Lewisham Town Centre at 34 storeys. The tower is topped by a ‘Skydeck’ - a free to use and publicly accessible rooftop viewing gallery.
Planning History
2020 June - Full planning permission is secured following recovery of the planning appeal by the Secretary of State. Planning consultant Lichfields was responsible for managing and coordinating the associated planning appeal and provided expert planning witness evidence at the public inquiry.
2018 October - Construction of three buildings, measuring 8, 14, and 34 storeys in height on the site at Former Tesco's Car Park 209 Conington Road London SE13, to provide 365 residential dwellings (Use Class C3) and 554sqm gross of commercial/ community/ office/ leisure space (Use class A1/ A2/ A3/ B1/ D1/ D2) with associated access, servicing, energy centre, car and cycle parking, landscaping and public realm works. 2016 - The project team hosted a public exhibition on Thursday 24th November 2016 at the Glass Mill Leisure centre

The site is at the northern end of Lewisham town centre and comprises two of four car parking areas and internal circulation space, within the existing Tesco store, located off Conington Road.
