Work at 100 New Bridge Street should start in late 2023 provided the recently applied plans are approved on time, reports Helical in the latest half-year results.

The planning application for the substantial refurbishment of 100 New Bridge Street was submitted in August. The building will be significantly enhanced to the designs of Gensler to deliver a best-in-class occupier experience.

The major refurbishment will involve recladding the facades and incorporating the latest technology into the building, as well as providing high-quality tenant amenities to create a new office building, which will operate to the highest standards of sustainability.

Helical has also proposed to the City of London to undertake significant public realm improvements around the site.

Work will begin in late 2023, after the current tenants, Baker McKenzie, vacate the building and move to DUO Bishopsgate.

The completed building should be ready for occupancy in the Spring of 2025.
