The serene Thames-side setting offers a sense of escape and the excitement of city life in equal measure. This picturesque towpath alongside the Thames also offers the most coveted vantage point for the annual Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race, which has made the Hammersmith Bridge a world-renowned area and historical highlight ever since the races commenced in 1836.

The residents here have the opportunity to own their own piece of London history, with nearby Riverside Studios being one of London’s most prominent filming locations. The studio building, which is also situated on Crisp Road, was originally converted from a former iron foundry in 1933 into two-stage theatre studios and a dubbing room. Originally, the studios were intended to be used for small-scale productions, however, in the 1940s and 50s, films starring actors such as Vera Lynn (The Seventh Veil) and Alec Guinness (Father Brown) were shot there.

In 1954 the BBC purchased the building and used the studios as the main backdrop for shows such as Top of the Pops, Z Cars, Blue Peter and Doctor Who until the corporation moved on in 1974. The local council then acquired Riverside Studios and from 1978 major productions starring Brian Cox and Robert Lindsay (The Changeling), as well as Helen Mirren (Measure for Measure) and Phil Daniels (Julius Caesar) were shot there. From the early 2000s, hit TV shows, such as TFI Friday with Chris Evans, T4, and Never Mind the Buzzcocks were filmed within the building.

Riverside Studios at Queen's Wharf is just a 10-minute walk from Hammersmith Underground Station, served by the Circle, District, Hammersmith & City and Piccadilly Lines. These transport links also allow for swift access both in and out of London, as Heathrow Airport is reachable within 30 minutes.

Paul Cosgrove, Partner at Finlay Brewer, commented: “This amazing apartment has the real wow factor and oozes contemporary style having been built to exacting standards. This combined with the far-reaching and legendary views makes it a truly remarkable residence.”

“Riverside Studios was a hugely popular development when it first launched, largely due to the excellent amenities and location and there has been a lot of interest since its construction, so we expect this to be very popular with prospective purchasers.”
