Fenwick department store closed its doors for the last time after 140 years on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024.

Lazari Investments, in partnership with architects Foster + Partners, submitted plans for the redevelopment of the site into a new mixed-use destination featuring retail space and offices above in November 2023.

Fenwick's first London store was opened at 63 New Bond Street in 1891 after the success of the store at 5 Northumberland Street in Newcastle.
