The new development, designed by HTA architects, will comprise 170 new homes, replacing the current affordable housing with high-quality homes that meet the specific needs of current residents, as well as provide 78 additional units to fulfil the area's pressing housing demand.

Riverside housing association owns and manages the 92 rented homes in Pike Close. New homes are built for all current tenants that meet modern space and energy efficiency standards.

The redevelopment encourages residents to use sustainable transportation by providing electric charging stations, a vehicle club with a two-year free membership offer, and 331 bicycle parking places. Along with the installation of solar photovoltaic panels, the complex uses efficient building design to lower residents' energy expenditures.

The plans also include children’s play areas and improvements to community safety.
