Orwell Studios at 200 Oxford Street was originally built in the 1920s as a department store.
The building went on to house the BBC's overseas broadcasting center during World War II. In 2006, the property underwent extensive renovation, resulting in a contemporary mixed-use complex that includes 10 apartments.
The name "Orwell Studios" is an apt tribute to the celebrated author, George Orwell (1984), who worked for the BBC within the building during the war.
