100 Woodgate Drive
Key Details
Overview
100 Woodgate Drive is a residential-led mixed-use development by Hadley Latimer in Streatham Vale, London SW16.
The new development on the former Homebase retail store and a car park site will deliver 237 new homes, providing 35% affordable housing with 52 homes for Social Rent and 29 for Shared Ownership.
Designed by Mæ architects, the scheme will comprise four new buildings ranging from 4-14 storeys and a new fit-for-purpose home for Streatham Vale GP surgery at ground level. The surgery expects this increase in space to facilitate an initial uplift in patient numbers from 10,300 to 13,000.
The development will be car-free and includes the provision of an innovative cycle hub. Residents will also have access to 3 years of free membership to a car club, encouraging more shared, active, and sustainable modes of transport.
The buildings have been designed to minimise carbon emissions, with high thermal efficiency and low-energy heat-pump technology. On-site biodiversity is also improved through extensive new landscaping, including the planting of over 100 new trees.
