Willow Walk
Key Details
Overview
Willow Walk at 9, 11 and 19 Osiers Road is a residential-led mixed-use development in the Wandsworth Riverside Quarter, London SW18.
New Homes: 100 per cent affordable housing. 55 per cent (93 homes) were available as shared ownership and 45 per cent (75 homes) were offered at social rent levels.
New public space, including a children’s play area and 25 new trees to increase local biodiversity, as well as nearly 4,000 sq m of new commercial space.
The development comprises three buildings of 10, 11 and 14 storeys that contain 168 homes and 3,805m2 of flexible commercial space.
Hollybrook and Peabody delivered this development with 100% of the homes as affordable.
The development earned the name Willow Walk after its exterior architectural detailing was inspired by the osiers basket weave. The pioneering façade system utilized a rubber mould-injected technique to create a unitised sandwich envelope and elegantly repeated the weave pattern.
In Wandsworth Riverside Quarter, 40% of the site area is a public realm with Osiers Plaza and Osiers Play Space forming safe and pedestrian-friendly hubs for the local community.
