Corbridge Crescent is a mixed-use development of commercial space and residential apartments in Bethnal Green, London E2.
56 residential units and ground floor commercial space.
The site is located on Corbridge Crescent and is bounded to the north by the Regent’s Canal and to the east by the Great Eastern Railway line.
Until the redevelopment, the site was in use as the Empress Coachworks. It has been used for industrial purposes, including a mill and glass bottle factory in the past.
2018 April - Planning permission granted for the redevelopment.
2016 - Amended development: Demolition of existing single storey commercial buildings, with the retention, restoration, external alteration and residential conversion of the existing Regency and Victorian Cottages, together with the erection of three linked blocks of 4, 5 and 8 storeys to provide 51 residential dwellings (Use Class C3), with associated private and communal amenity space, cycle parking and refuse storage, and 461sqm of dual-use office/community floorspace (Use Class B1/D1).
