History

Designed by Vincent Harris in 1915.

Refurbished to the designs of HOK. The open-plan environment supports interaction, communication and collaboration in less hierarchical workspaces, transforming the work processes of the Ministry of Defence. The historic rooms from Pembroke House and Cromwell House, which were rebuilt in their current location in 1951, were carefully restored.

1952 - In 1952 the central part of the Air Ministry moved
to the new building.
