How to use Buildington Milestones?

Buildington Milestones are 42 carefully selected key events reported on the building timeline.

The milestone announcements can help you make the right decisions at the right time. You can either keep track, get notifications or search for milestones.

For companies, this is an excellent marketing tool. By reporting the milestones achieved, you not only get attention to your company but to everyone on the building team.

The milestones are grouped into 4 main categories – Planning > Construction > Sales > In Use. The very first milestone is announced when a site is acquired.

The milestones can be searched in both the New Developments and the existing Buildings section on Buildington.

Milestones For Buyers, Renters & Investors

Let’s say you have just started looking for a perfect one-bedroom apartment in London. You call through the listings only to find out that the last one bed was just reserved or that there is no one beds with balconies available in Hackney, your dream destination. contact the agent think that the ‘Sales launch’ is the main announcement for you. In reality, this often means you have arrived at the party two hours late.

The fact is, the earlier you register your interest in the development, the better.

Depending on how well prepared you want to be, you can choose to get a few notifications leading up to the stage you want to contact the sales. For example, the earliest sign of an upcoming project is ‘Site acquired, which is announced when the developer has bought a plot of land or an existing building for development. This often comes with an announcement stating what they are planning to build on it, new homes, offices or something else. Another good one is the ‘Construction start’, which often means the start of the sales is imminent.

We then have the ‘Coming soon’ milestone, which is announced once the team is preparing for the launch and clearly says you can get in touch, we’ll put your name down. There is also the ‘Website launch’, where an electronic form is set up to register interest.

Keep in mind, that each development is different and the sales can also open only once the development has been completed and they might not want to talk to buyers before.

The first launch of sales is still always important to take part in, as often there are incentives offered on the day and you can talk to financial advisors and interior choices.
