Overview

Linden Gardens is a highly sought-after area within the Pembridge Conservation area in Notting Hill, London W11.

Originally built in 1870-1879 as individual homes, the three interconnected terraced buildings are set over six floors including a lower ground floor and attic and comprises 54 bedsits and studios. The construction is gault brickwork with rusticated and banded stucco to the lower and upper ground floor at the front elevation, and exposed facing bricks at the rear.

Whilst the building is outlined in the Pembridge Conservation Area Appraisal as making a positive contribution to the conservation area’s character and appearance, the facade has remain untouched for a number of years and requires updating. Internally, the quality of accommodation remains in reasonable condition but would be considered outdated and need of upgrading, with some rooms being uninhabitable.

Leufroy will reconfigure and refurbish the entire internal area to provide self-contained units and to improve the living accommodation within these units. In addition to improving the living conditions, we will enhance the building and its contribution to the conservation area by making positive changes to the front and rear elevations.
