Overview

Church Street Site A is a £275m mixed-use development by Westminster and Mount Anvil on Edgware Road in London W2.

The redevelopment of Site A will provide 429 new homes, at least 50% of which will be affordable. 171 homes will be for social rent including the reprovision of 98 that were existing at social rent levels. A total of 214 will be classed as affordable and 63 of these will be new 3+ bed family sized homes. 

The scheme will also see the delivery of new and enhanced Church Street Library and community facilities.

The redevelopment of Church Street Sites A, B and C will see up to 1,120 new homes developed, new public realm and improved accessibility and pedestrianised routes, improved market infrastructure, new jobs and training opportunities - as well as new retail and commercial space for the local community, and community infrastructure.

The site sits at the intersection of Edgware Road and Church Street.

The existing buildings contain 145 homes in total:

2017 September - Planning permission granted.
2017 May - Planning Application submitted in May 2017 for:
Construction of a part two, part three storey extension to the existing building incorporating green roofs and a terrace; basement excavation and external facade alterations in association with the provision of four retail units at ground floor level, 7 residential units and additional office (Class B1) floorspace. Westminster Council ref no 17/04311/FULL.
