Overview

Redbrick Estate is a mixed-use development in London EC1. Completed in 2020.

The development created 55 new homes in 3 new blocks, a new youth facility at 69–85 Old Street, 2 new retail units, a new garden square and public realm improvements.

39 (70%) of the residential units are affordable homes available for the residents of Islington. The new homes will include 4 ground floor wheelchair units and 16 homes for private sale (these finance the scheme). The new homes will be a mixture of 1, 2 and 3 bed homes.

2015 September - Planning permission granted.

Phase 1 - Construction of Blocks A & C. New
community Centre. Refurbishment works to the garages. Landscaping and security works - expected completion end 2018.
Phase 2 - Construction of Block C. Completion of remaining landscaping works expected completion end 2019.
