One South Quay
Key Details
Overview
One South Quay is a mixed-use development in Isle of Dogs, London E14.
The scheme replaces the existing three-storey office building with a high-quality and sustainable development comprising a 400 bedroom hotel, 279 serviced apartments and impressive dockside leisure facilities.
At 40 storeys, the proposed landmark development overlooking the Canary Wharf is consistent with the height range evident among existing buildings and those currently under-construction in the South Quay and northern Millwall area.
The proposals include the activation of the underused public spaces beneath the DLR and Admirals Way – including dedicated parkour equipment – to improve accessibility for the local community, tourists and businesses, whilst simultaneously enhancing the pedestrian experience along the waterfront.
The development of One South Quay generates up to 230 full-time equivalent jobs in the new hotel and serviced apartments, in addition to 300 jobs during construction.
Also known as the Quay House redevelopment.
