Westbourne House
Key Details
Overview
Westbourne House is a new 28,000 square foot apartment building in Bayswater, London W2.
Westbourne House has seen the complete refurbishment of an old 1970's office block into a high-quality apartment building that forms a key part of the regeneration of this end of Westbourne Grove.
The hand made bricks and hand made faience work gives the building a unique 'crafted' quality.
The former office block is now a building with 20 luxury apartments and ground floor retail with 12 underground car parking spaces. The building includes a new 7th floor which forms a duplex penthouse with 1,386sq ft terrace and 360-degree view across London. The apartments will be a mix of one, two and three beds all benefiting from high ceilings and private outside space.
The existing ground floor National Westminster Banking Hall was retained and a new ground floor commercial unit was created adjacent. The upper floors contain high-quality residential accommodation with an addition storey on top of the existing 6th-floor roof. The new 7th-floor structure is set back from the main building to minimise its visual impact from ground floor level views.
The development manager for Westbourne House is Alchemi Group. The building was acquired in June 2012 in partnership with a UK developer, construction commenced in July 2013 with the completion of the apartments in 2015.
The last apartment was sold in March 2017 according to sales agent Bective Leslie Marsh.
