Progress Update

The brickwork façade is complete at The Georgette North, reports developer Mount Anvil. The exterior of the 7-storey building perfectly balances character and subtlety, honouring the craft and luxury of Whitechapel's silk industry.

All the homes have been decorated up to floor 5, with carpets currently being installed on floor 3.

All windows have now been installed up to floor 5 at The Georgette South, with the brickwork façade build currently between floors 1 and 2. The installation of the partition walls is in progress up to floor 4, and plasterers are on site currently working on floor 1, ready to work their way up the floors.

The concrete frame of The Jacquard is built up to floor 19. The unitised façade is up to floor 12.

Work has started internally, with partition walls up to floor 4 and plumbing and electrics work starting on floor 1.

Studios, 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments are still available for sale with prices ranging from £456,000-1,446,500.

Progress Update

Mount Anvil is getting closer to completion at The Georgette North.

Levels 1 to 3 are currently being decorated and will be completed in preparation for the carpets being installed in the coming two weeks.

On levels 4 to 6 the carpentry is well underway and the kitchens and bathrooms are being installed. Up at level 7, the plastering is happening at B1, while the first fix of mechanicals and electricals is taking place at B3.

The lifts have been installed and are ready for quality assurance and completion.

Externally, the brickwork is up to level 4 and the waterproofing is being taken care of on the roof.

The brickwork at The Georgette North façade has commenced. Throughout the building, each of the apartments party walls have been built and installation of the partition walls in every home has begun.

The concrete frame of The Jacuard is now built up to level 17 and the external glass façade is now at level 9. Mechanical and electrical work began last week and the partition walls are ready to be installed.

The exclusive gym, cinema and landscaping will be ready for the first resident's move-in dates in Q1 2021.

The Bouchon Launch

The Bouchon at The Silk District is launching on Tuesday 15th September 2020.

A selection of studio to 2-bed homes in a 25-storey building offersing views towards Canary Wharf and The City.

Construction Update June 2020

The Jacquard - The reinforced concrete frame has been completed and the façade and windows are now in place up to the 3d floor of the building, reports developer Mount Anvil. The internal walls are progressing well and the internal lift is being installed.

The Georgette North - The reinforced concrete frame is complete, and the façade and windows have been installed to level 2.

The Georgette South - The reinforced concrete frame is underway with the lift and stair core built up to the 9th floor.

Prices currently start from £577,500 for a studio apartment at The Georgette South.

Construction Update

Significant progress has been made at The Georgette North B1 and The Georgette North B3 since the last construction update, reports Mount Anvil.

The reinforced concrete frame was completed in both of the North Tower blocks, which then allowed for the façade and windows to begin to be installed.

Floor screeding application and underfloor heating installation has commenced. Once this is complete internal walls can be added. Exciting times ahead as the building takes shape to become your new home.

The Georgette South B4 will be launching soon, with estimated completion in Q3 2021.

The Silk District's second site inspection by the The Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) inspectors took place at the end of 2019, resulting in a score of 46/50.

The summary for the second inspection praised Mount Anvil’s “clear vision and commitment to initiating and maintaining such high standards”, and celebrated the scheme’s community initiatives, unique training opportunities, and efforts to ensure the wellbeing of its workforce.

The inspector summarised that The Silk District’s site remains “truly exceptional”, and “certainly amongst the very best currently in London”.

December 2019 Progress Update

Mount Anvil is making great progress on The Silk District site.

Several cranes have now been erected on site, and are involved with the installation of concrete frames that the Georgette North & Jacquard Tower blocks will be built around.

The Georgette South B2 is set to launch in January 2020.

This week, the results came back from the first Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) assessment and the site scored an exceptional 46/50. This places Silk District in the top ten CCS-registered sites in the UK, from a selection of thousands.
