Overview

UCL East development on 4.63 hectares in Stratford Waterfront, London E15.

The development will create two new buildings – Marshgate I and Pool Street West. These will house hi-tech laboratories and research space, student accommodation and designated areas for working with schools, charities and local groups.

Pool Street West: Designed by Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands. Opens in 2020.

Marshgate I: Designed by Stanton Williams. Opens in 2023.

The £1.1bn scheme is receiving £385m funding from the Mayor of London and £151m funding from the Government.

2019 July - The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, and UCL President & Provost, Professor Michael Arthur, broke ground at UCL East as construction begins on the pioneering new campus.
