1. Bankside Yards
South Bank, London SE1

What is it? A mixed-use development next to Blackfriars Bridge comprising 668 new homes, offices and shops.
What’s new? Work has started on the first phase, Western Yards, which includes a 49-storey tower with 240 homes and an office building. 14 existing railway arches will be renovated for new shops and restaurants by 2022.

2. Chelsea Barracks
Belgravia, London SW1

What is it? A new neighbourhood next to the River Thames comprising 448 new homes, 7 landscaped garden squares, numerous amenities and a Grade II listed chapel.
What’s new? A new public sculpture ‘Bicameral’ by the British sculptor, Conrad Shawcross RA, was unveiled recently at Chelsea Barracks. Bicameral reflects the rich botanical history of Belgravia, with the nearby famous Physic Garden, and pays homage to the use of materials and commitment to craftsmanship at the heart of the new Chelsea Barracks.

3. The Broadway

What is it? Six new buildings containing 268 apartments, various amenities and office space.
What’s New? Northacre appointed Robert Gibson as the company’s new Construction Director. With more than 30 years in the construction industry, Robert has previously worked for Berkeley Homes and Bouygues and will be managing the construction of No. 1 Palace Street and The Broadway.

4. West End Gate
Paddington Green, London W2

What is it? 652 new homes near Paddington Station.
What’s New? Asquith House, a collection of Studios and 1-4 bedroom apartments with a view to landscaped gardens, launched in October 2019.

5. Brunel Street Works
Canning Town, London E16

What is it? 975 new homes from Linden Homes, Thames Valley Housing and Galliford Try next to Canning Town Station.
What’s New? The development launched in October.

6. Southbank Place
South Bank, London SE1

What is it? 868 new homes, offices and retail space by the River Thames, next to the London Eye.

7. The Peninsula London
Hyde Park Corner, Belgravia, London SW1

What is it? 189 exquisitely styled hotel rooms and suites and an exclusive selection of 28 luxury residences completing in 2021.
What’s New? The Excavation continues to progress, and the basement reinforced concrete structures will commence in the coming weeks, reports contractor Byrne Bros in their latest construction update.

8. 22 Bishopsgate
City, London EC2

What is it? A new 62-storey office building in the City, completing in mid-2020.
What’s New? AXA IM- Real Assets agreed to a 10-year lease to Nasdaq in October. They will occupy the entire 25,000 sq ft 18th floor of the PLP designed building. This week it was announced that Starcraft, a leading international producer of clean energy, will take 25,000 sq ft, the entire 19th floor on a 10-year lease.

9. Park Modern

10. 30 Grosvenor Square

What is it? The new Rosewood Hotel comprising 137 guest rooms, five restaurants, six flagship retail units, a spa and a 1,000 person ballroom opening in 2023.
What’s New? Mace, Multiplex and Balfour Beatty are reportedly bidding for the main contractor’s position for this £250m project.
