Overview

7 Millbank is an office development in Westminster, London SW1.

The new development will provide high-quality, sustainable workspace with an enlarged reception, atrium and staircase, and terraces on the 6th, 7th and 8th floors to offer amenities and enhance urban greening.

The project involves the careful dismantling, restoration and rebuilding of the existing building’s period façade.

The modern office building will feature high wellness standards, flexibility, and energy efficiency for its occupiers. The scheme will be targeting BREEAM Outstanding, WELL Platinum and a Nabers 5* rating.

The current 9-storey building, which sits as part of a group of buildings that surround Smith Square, was constructed as the headquarters for British American Tobacco between 1913 and 1915.

The development will benefit from excellent public transport access, via Westminster and St James’s Park Underground stations, while also being close to Cycle Superhighway 3 and 8.

Old Park Lane Management Limited is a London-based private investment company formed in 1995, with more than 1.5 million sq ft of assets in the Central London market.

History

Designed by Gordon & Gunton, the old 9-storey building was originally built as the headquarters for British American Tobacco in 1915.

In 2021 the Westminster House building comprised a single-use commercial office building (Class E) in use by the Parliamentary Estates.
