History

The building was designed by Foster + Partners and completed in 2000.

2020 December - Work starts on major office refurbishment at 50 Finsbury Square (129,100 sq ft).

2020 July - Great Portland Estates is preparing for the redevelopment. Work starts in early 2021.

2020 - Planning permission for: Redevelopment of existing building including replacement of existing facade, flexible change of use from office (B1a) to office/leisure (Class B1a/D2) floorspace at ground and lower ground level, reconfiguration of retail/office unit layout at ground floor level, repositioning of office entrance, creation of a roof terrace area, installation of green roof, installation of internal mezzanine infills to existing office atrium area, replacement of rooftop plant and associated works.
