Top 10 Hotel Buildings in Bayswater, London W2

With the holiday season upon us, it is time to take a snapshot of some of the most popular hotels in the capital.

We are looking at Bayswater because it has long been one of the most popular areas for tourists to stay in London. Main reason for that is, of course, the neighbouring Hyde Park with Kensington Gardens. Heathrow Express stops at Paddington Station, which is no more than 15 minutes’ walk from anywhere in Bayswater.

Most of the buildings in in the area were built in mid-19th century, so if you feel like stepping back in time – this is the place to stay.

The face of Bayswater is definitely changing fast. Quite a few hotels are now being turned into apartments as the population of the city grows. The Hempel Collection by Amazon and British Land is one good example. The locals are not happy with the planning decisions – the larger schemes, such as The Whiteleys, The Paddington Cube and 117-125 Bayswater Road have all faced strong opposition.
