So, which new projects were most popular less than half a year before the Olympic Games take place? Read on to find out!

1. (1.) De Vere Gardens

Completion: 2014

This 9-storey development (photo) will provide luxury apartments with basement car parking, affordable housing and private leisure facilities. The existing basement will be enlarged to 2 levels to accommodate car parking, services, a leisure centre and plant.

5. (7.) Quadrant 3

The redevelopment of the 94-year-old Regent Palace Hotel. From spring 2012, Quadrant 3 will be home to heritage brands Wolsey, Stone Island, Jack Spade and Woolrich, all of whom chose the location to launch their first standalone stores in London’s West End. Whole Foods Market will bring their unique approach to healthy living with exciting café concepts and plans for an outside dining area on the newly pedestrianised Glasshouse Street.

25 Churchill Place will be one of the most environment-friendly buildings at Canary Wharf to date. It will be the new office headquarters of the European Medicines Agency.
