Why every first-time buyer in London should visit a show home

Written on .

Visiting a show home at one of the new property developments can be really helpful for a first-time buyer in London.

It’s clever because while you’re looking around in your potential new home, you will also be filled in on everything you need to know about the process of buying a flat. What are the financing options? Legal aspects to consider? What about all the additional costs?

Most of the new developments in London nowadays feature a show home, which will give you an idea of what your future home will look like. It is normally the exact replica of one of the apartments – with the correct ceiling heights, same materials and colour schemes as in the completed scheme.

Can you visualise the apartment at the New Kings Road development by just looking at this floor plan? It’s not easy, is it.

Details of the location of a show home can usually be found on the development website. Bear in mind, it might not be situated at the exact site if the construction has just started. So make sure to jot down the correct address.

Usually you have to book an appointment prior to the visit but since you should check the opening times anyway, it is a good idea to call the sales to confirm your visit. To attend a more exclusive launch you will be asked to send an RSVP.

Events are great for marketing a development and opening a show home is often celebrated and that doesn’t necessarily mean champagne and canapés these days. Sometimes incentives, such as stamp duty paid or furniture included, are offered.

If you wish to visit a show home in style, why not attend one of the upcoming show apartment launches?
